James glanced about and signled to Jeff to move up. He nodded slightly and slid ahead of James and David. Cory stayed behind David and covered their backs. It was a moment before a hand appeared around the corner and waved them up quickly. Cory went first. David and James had turned around to cover theri backs and as Cory passed. He tapped David on the shoulder. He nodded a bit and followed Cory a moment later then tapped James shoulder, who also nodded to David and moved back with him. Still keeping their six covered.
Once they made it around the corner James turned and saw the fork in the road. He cursed silently under his breath. This mission was a dangerous one. He really didn't want to split the team up.

James:
"Alright damnit... We got ourselves a lovely ol' fork in the goddamn road. We SHOULD Split up but fuck I don't want to do that. It's way to dangerous.Cory laughed a bit and Jeff looked at him with a smirk.
[/center]Cory:
"Ehh don't sweat it boss.. we can handle it don't worry."Jeff:
"Ya don't worry Liutenant.. we'll be fine.Without another word they took off down the left path. James called them to come back but they didn't listen. He cursed and glared silently down the pathway. Those damn stubborn bastards were going to get themselves killed.
But he knew he couldn't stop them. Cory and Jeff were thick as hell but they could do a hell of a good job if they need to. He rubbed his fingers together and stared at the map he had in his hand. Tilting his head he frowned and pulled out his flashlight. It was installed with a special glass that would stop the glare, making it harder to be seen. He frowned slightly as he stared at the path Bravo had just gone down. Suddenly he cursed. rather loudly as well and David nearly jumped out of his skin thinking his partner had taken a hit.
Instantly he was looking around and saw no one. He turned to James who had an extreamly worried look on his face. And that in turned worried David because James rarely ever got worried. He moved over beside him and looked over his shoulder.

James:
"Goddamnit, shit, shit, shit!"David:
"James you have to be quiet.. and what the fuck is wrong?"James:
"Shut up David... Jeff and Cory just walked into the biggest fuckin trap that could ever ha-"He didn't finish as the rattle of gunfire and explosions suddenly sounded. James let out a loud curse and grabbed his M16 before running quickly down the path. There were cries and more gunfire before there was silent then loud cheers.
As soon as he heard those cheers James face went dead pale white. He ran quicker and stopped at a hedge he watched over the top as his two men were on their knees. Hands tied behind their backs. The enemy soldiers were gun totting around and cheering in pleasure as Jeff... Jeff was the first. One of the soldiers grabbed his hair and pulled his head back.
He pulled out a knife and drew it acrossed Jeffs neck, slitting his throat open, blood sprayed out onto the ground but he didn't stop there. The soldier began to saw back and forth. The wet gurggle, a cry of pain that... that would never be heard, sounded. James panted softly and watched. Anger and sorrow flooding him, becaues he knew he couldn't do a damn thing about it. But also anger for their stupidity. He looked and had to turn away.
The soldier had hoisted Jeffs head up. Strings of meat hanging down and blood pouring onto the ground. Daivd made a dry, quiet hick sound and turned away as well. They were repeating the motion with Cory. James couldn't look back, he couldn't watch this.. it was to painful for him.
Most people thought that all soldiers were hardened to being uncaring but that wasn't true. Especially when it came down to watching a team mate get killed. But, it was ten times worse when you were able to see it happen. This was absolutly barbaric. David had looked back over and this time he did vomit. There was so much noise though that it was unheard. Daivd looked back to James and motioned him to look. He did and vomitted as well. They had put the heads on top of crappy shafted spears.

At this point James woke up His body in a slick coat of sweat. He ran his hands over his face before he began to cry. This time it was heavy sobs. The grizzly images of Cory and Jeff's deaths, implanted in his mind forever. He cried for over an hour. He had nobody to comfort him. No wife, no kids, no anyone but himself. He curled up on the bed and silently stared at the clock beside his bed. His eyes red and puffy from crying. He fell back into a restless sleep a few minutes later.
