The scene opens in a almost empty arena. Prozac is the only one in the stands but there are workers down near the ring. He is sitting sideways in his seat with his legs up on the seat in front of him. His eyes wander around the entire arena over and over again. He looks calm but he also looks like a lot is on his mind as he sits there thinking.
He is thinking about his life and his dreams and where they have led him, All the hard work he has put into the thing he wants most. He remembers all the people that laughed when he told them we wanted to be a pro wrestler. But those people never really watched wrestling and didn't really know anything about it. They weren't fans so what did they know. They have a right to there opinion but in Prozac's mind he just felt bad for them. They did not know what they were missing.
A camera crew comes into the arena and spots where Prozac is sitting and heads over to him.
Prozac's still deep in thought now thinking about all his time in training. He remembered his coach telling him that he had to learn control.
Prozac gets a flash back
Coach: Rob you are one of the best students I have ever had and you are one of the best wrestlers I have ever seen. You have more heart then I thought anyone could have, you have the skill then you need to take you to the top, you have the dream and the motivation to fulfill it, you have more guts then necessary and that leads to the problem. You have guts and no fears that's all fine and good but to a point. You take matches to far. you have to know when enough is enough for both you and your opponent or else yours or your opponents career might be cut short or even worse your life's could be cut short.
Prozac: Coach come on you always tell me this and I always walk away fine.
Coach: How long you think that will keep happening. And just cause you can take some punishment doesn't mean everybody can.
Prozac: If they are wrestlers then can take it.
Coach: You think every wrestle is a top fighter?
Prozac: No but that's not the point.
Coach: Alright stop I'm not getting into it now. I'm not saying chance the way you do everything I am just saying learn control.
Prozac: And what do you mean by control?
Coach: I mean that in a match if you think of something that you think is a good idea and will win you the match it might do a lot more then that.
Prozac: Meaning?
Coach: I know you if you see a knife you would stab your opponent with it cause you think that is what was needed to win but then afterwards what would you do when the man is dead and your being taking away in cuffs?
Prozac: Please I don't go that far.
Coach: Someday you might. I see that look in your eyes every match it scares me to death and i also know you don't think of consequences after the match you just think about the match.
Prozac: And that's a bad thing?
Coach: In your case it is.
Prozac: Come on coach. Here I'll promise you ill never stab anyone ok?
Coach: This is no time for sarcasm.
Flash back fades in his mind
Prozac never listened why would he change if he was one of the top students there and never defeated in spars.
The Camera crew beings to set up all around Prozac.
He now remembers last training match where he almost killed his opponent and himself. The whole time in the hospital he just kept remembering his coaches words. "Learn control" it kept repeating in his head. The thing is Prozac already knew control but that wasn't him, that was not Prozac thus Drake was born. Drake was the name Prozac went by when he first started to wrestle.
Camera crew guy: Prozac we are all set up whenever you’re ready.
Prozac's too deep in thought to hear as he is now thinking about when he entered Pro wrestling. He was a little worried how he would do as Drake and his "control" but worry was soon replaced by happiness and excitement as he entered his first match against Bohne. After beating his first opponent he thought to himself maybe control isn't a bad thing. Then after suffering some losses he started to question "control" again.
Camera Crew guy: Um....Prozac?
The thoughts of his Partner and friend Ritalin telling him to straighter up was the last slap that shook sense into him. Finally by killing Drake and getting rid of control and becoming Prozac again and reforming The Meds the team Ritalin and him were since they use to backyard wrestle years ago he felt right, he felt new hope to living his dreams.
Camera crew guy: Prozac?
Prozac: Yes I'm ready.
The camera crew gets ready and the camera man hit the button to start filming.
Prozac: I don't know what to really say. I'm not a really good talker. I know the fans wanted to hear a little bit of what I had to say. I am grateful that the fans already like me and want to hear from me so soon in my career. So where to begin. I'm 20 years old, in my first year in the big leagues. I haven't done anything truly great and history making yet but I am happy with the matches I have had so far I really think they were great. (Pauses) I believe I am destined for greater things though. My whole life I worked to become a wrestler. I was very happy being a fan but you know I just wanted more I wanted to step in the ring and wrestle myself. (Pauses) It was such a big point in my life when I first entered training and it was even a bigger point in my life when I entered the big leagues. It was really something the first time I stepped in the ring here, just that moment was one I will always to remember, it was really a dream come true. But like I said I worked my whole life for this and I worked hard I don't know if I worked harder then others but it wasn't less, it was either the same or more. I don't know if everyone knows this about me but I was born with a couple of problems with my left leg and foot. I was born with club foot that's just when your born your foot is twisted and you need surgery to fix it but over years you foot starts to turn again and your suppose to go to surgery every 10 years. I have already gone for 2 one when I was 6 months old and the other when I was 12 so I'm dew to go again soon. The other problem I actually forgot the name of (laughs) but that problem effects my leg form the knee down. That problem is I was born with a lot less muscle in that leg then the other and it is also hard to get muscle in that leg I have to work it double as much as my other leg just to keep it around the same strength. You know cause of these problems the doctor as well as the trainers always told me to take it easier and that they will train me a little easier then the others and maybe I should reconsider what I want to do. I thought about it for all of a half a second then I said no i will not take it easy and I don't want easier training then anybody else I want the same as that guy right there in fact make me harder. I said and I will never reconsider what I want to do I want to be a wrestler and I will be one if it kills me. It's my dream to be a wrestle and I became one. Now I have another dream it was a dream that could only happen if I succeeded in my first one. I second dream is to be a great wrestler and a champion wrestler.
Prozac takes his legs off the chair in front of him and sits up straight but his facial expression never leaves as his eyes still wandering around the arena.
Prozac: Also you all know my friend and partner Bert you know him more as Ritalin. We have been friends for years we are like brothers. I know that Ritalin also wants to be a wrester more then anything and has worked very hard as well to become one. We have had a dream that we shared for a long time as well, besides to be wrestlers, great wrestlers. We want to be champion wrestlers. (Pauses) You know we always use to talk and crap saying we will be the best team ever and stuff like that. We always use to say that we will make our team known and we will be champions. I have my gold and Ritalin has a chance to get his.
Prozac leans forward. Still not looking towards the camera.
Prozac: But failure is not a option. Truth is this chance may never come around again, I think it will but it might not. Never the less failure is not something that will happen and if it does it will not happen easy. I know I sound cocky and conceited but I am more convinced then anything. (Pauses) This is a unique match too, Tables of Hell Match.
A smile begins to form on Prozac's face as his eyes set and stay unblinking on the ring.
Prozac: Throughout history, there have been few sports or sport events that has effected the world the same way that wrestling has. Wrestling is the only sport that someone one can show off their true individuality or two wrestlers can join together and not only prove there wroth as a singles competitor but also as a team player. Very soon in this very arena wrestling fans will fill the stands to enjoy the action and drama that will unfold. It will soon be time again for blood and sweat to fall maybe even tears. Those workers down there are setting up the ring for all the wrestles to get in there and do what they do best. Every one of the wrestlers including me will step in that ring and will give it our best and I am not a physic but as long as I am concuss I will triumph. I swear on my life, on everything holy, on everything unholy that I will not lose unless I can’t give anymore AND an act of god prevents me. See I don't care who I have to face in this match. It can be a monster, or a clown, or a midget, or a pimp, or the pimps ho, or a grizzly bear, or Edward scissor hands (laughs) no all kidding aside it can be a god, or a devil, or Death himself. They will all fail if they can’t handle the level of compertion I am bringing into that match. It's a level that will change wrestling. I am going to steal a line from Ed Norton from the movie Death of Smoochy "we can’t change the world but we can make a dent" .Now normally a wrestler enters into a company and rise up within the ranks. However, with Ritalin and I it will be the company that rises to the top. We are going to show the wrestling world the true force of evolution…The Meds are going to change the face of professional wrestling once and for all. See we plan on making a dent in the world by changing the wrestling world.
Scene fades on a very determined looking Prozac.
