| With each change in life .. |
Inside that room sat a changed man. A new man. 'The' man who led The Darkness, and he was ready to use the power which was bestowed on him by the God above in every way he could. He would do anything to benefit himself and his allies using this power, something he had never done before.
Be ready, he was a changed man .. and not for the better.
---
He sat in his black leather chair staring into the fire with his dark dead gray eyes. The glow which the dancing flames cast upon his skin was astounding. He seemed to be glowing a brownish red, which made his gray irises stand out ever the more.
His pitch black locks framed his chiseled facial features and his golden necklace glinted in the flickering fire-light. The sheen on his black leather coat and black leather boots was almost as amazing as the glow which was cast upon the new silver ring which was on his ring finger.
Under his leather jacket was a white muscle shirt and on his legs were a pair of dark navy blue jeans.
In his right hand was a crystal wine-glass, which shimmered as it reflected the orange rays of light. Inside the wine glass, sloshing around was a dark red substance, which you assumed was red-wine. It's hue wasn't effected by the fire-light, seeing how it was already a red color.
Even though he was surrounded by such objects as paintings on the walls and sculptures sitting in the corners, his gaze didn't falter from the blaze burning in the limestone fireplace. It was as if he was trying to figure out what was occurring and it was an impossible task. At least, that's the way it seemed.
Just then, he blinked. He raised the crystal glass to his lips and poured the sultry liquid over his lips, onto his tongue and then it traveled down his throat.
As the soothing liquid traveled into the deepest parts of his body, he released a deep sigh. Whether it was one of relief or sorrow was unknown to you.
He lay his glass on the wooden side table, releasing it from his grasp for the first time since you'd seen him. He then got to his feet and folded his hands behind his back. He seemingly drifted across the room toward the window, without a single step that went without dignity.
His eyes looked through the double paned glass, examining the snow-covered world on the other side of this portal into another world. He now appreciated the warmth that which was released from the flames.
His lips then parted, releasing the orchestrated beauty that was his voice. Listen, for Jordan "Bullet Proof" Glass is ready to speak.
Jordan ~ That which you want is what you may never have.
This saying is true, I should know by now. Recent expieriences have tought me that it is infact the truest saying of them all. This is also an old saying which was passed down from generation to generation from who knows how long ago. You see .. my opponent at Side Effect WANTS to defeat me. This is why his wish well never occur.
Jordan raises his left hand from behind him and brushes his hair out of his face so that he can survey the snowy world more thoroughly. He then returned his hand to its afore-mentioned position.
Jordan ~ This is why I shall be the victor of this lumberjack competition. I do not desire victory, for I already know I have it. There is no way that these four, even combined, could defeat me. I don't know who the fifth man is .. but he will fall like the others have.
I have already claimed victory over these foolish pawns of my power. Therefore, there is no way they can raise up and defeat that which is constantly growing and gaining more power. No matter how high they rise and no matter how much power they gain, Jordan "Bullet Proof" Glass will always do them two better.
He spun on his heel, walking toward a painting which depicted a battle-grounds. All around were bloodied solders and dead men, but in the center stood one single man. His uniform was bloodstained and dusty. The smoke around him had cleared and he was the only man left standing after all this carnage.
Jordan stopped just in front of this painting and stared at it, smiling.
Jordan ~ This .. this is the way it will be after Side Effect, and again after The Aftermath. Hell, fire and brimstone will be done .. and I will be the one standing with the blood of my enemies on my body. This is the way of the victor.
This is the way of I, Jordan "Bullet Proof" Glass. None of this place can bring me down, bring me to my knees. I will fall to no one, especially not these fools. Calaz, Corporal Punishment, Prozac, Thor and whoever the fifth is .. watch yourselves.
Don't make the same mistake that the others did.
Jordan laughs as he gracefully spins on his heels, heading back toward his seat. The tangled mass of black atop his head swayed as he walked, running over his shoulders.
He lay himself down into his seat softly, picking up his wine glass between his thumb and his first two fingers and tipping it to his lips once again. The cool soothing substance ran down his gorge, quenching his thirst. He lay the glass back upon the table and stared into the fire once more.
Jordan ~ I don't think you two fathom what you are getting yourself in the middle of. You see, there is a war happening right now as I speak, and in order for me to win this war, I must defeat all who cross my path.
The only problem is no matter how much I try and explain the afore-mentioned war, you cannot understand it. Nobody can understand it aside from I and my comrades, which you have yet to meet. I have something in the works .. but it isn't confirmed, so don't jump the gun people.
You cannot destroy what you do not understand. This is true in this case, for you five cannot take me down. I am an unstoppable force, ask Sah'ta Thor, Ignacious Freely or Robert Smith. They would know.
.. but this is not on subject. What IS on subject is that I WILL win at Side Effect and again at The Aftermath. No matter how hard you try, no matter what you do .. I will come out of that battle the victor.
Jordan raises both his hands to the side of his head, massaging his temples. He closes his eyes, pushing his eyelids together hard. It seems he has a headache.
Just then, his eyes shoot open. The crackling of the fire seems to grow more intense as the flames jump higher into the air. Suddenly, the flames jump from the fireplace, making their way across the hard-wood floor .. but strangely the wood doesn't burn. The fire simply glides over it as water would.
The flames continue to make their way across the room toward where Jordan is seated. A smile begins to grow on his face as the flames come over the side of the red leather sofa which is beside his chair, and still doesn't burn it.
Jordan moves his hands away from his temples, but continues to look at the fire. It keeps moving toward him. Suddenly he raises his left hand and snaps his fingers. The fire just .. ceases, for lack of a better word, and seems as if it has never been unconfined from the fireplace.
He smiles.
Jordan ~ As I've said before, that is how you show true power. You take your surroundings and manipulate them to your will. Can any of you, aside from Sah'ta, do that? I seriously doubt it.
I pity you two, in fact. If I were you I wouldn't want to face me. I'm .. a loaded gun. I can go off at anytime. Anytime during our match do NOT take your eyes off me, because I will come out of nowhere with anything. You never know.
Jordan's smile grows as he sits there, comfortable in his chair. His eyes are now sparkling, the little lights dancing around in those dead gray orbs which are set in his head like two beautiful gems. For the first time since you've seen him, his eyes seem .. alive?
Jordan ~ You see .. everything is falling into place. Soon I will be at the top of this company, and then .. well all I can say is watch out.
Jordan laughs manically, throwing his head back and opening his mouth very wide. When he is finished he gets to his feet and begins to make his way to the door.
Suddenly, he halts, spinning gracefully on his heel once more. He stares into the distance, focusing on everything and nothing. His lips part once last time, letting his voice ring loud and strong within that room. 'The' room.
Jordan ~ The only advice I have for you fools is watch out for mirrors, don't break any. Not only would that be bad luck .. but the glass may cut you.
He laughs again as he turns and opens the door. He strides out through the opening and the door closes behind him, shutting 'the' room off from the rest of the world.
