Set to be released on May 9th, 2008 Speed Racer will hit the big screen in a live action film directed by The Wachowski Brothers. Emile Hirsch will play Speed Racer. Joining him will be Christina Ricci as his love interest Trixie, Matthew Fox as his rival Racer X, and John Goodman as Pops. The movie follows Speed Racer as he races on the same track that took his brother's life The Crucible. Speed must come in first place to save his family's business and defeat the evil Royalton Industries.
