The twilight is something that always calmed my spirit, and on a day like this with a nice breeze I could doze off and sleep like a baby. But instead I am on my porch, sitting comfortably in my chair, my muscles finally relaxing and taking the time to heal after the hard training I was doing a few days ago. Why am I sitting out here? Well this is the time that I take out of my life to answer the fans, yes unlike a lot of wrestlers I heard of; I cherish the fans and their support. Some call me a comedian, others have called me an asshole, and everyone else calls me everything in the middle and beyond, but in reality I am just me, Robert Smith or Prozac as most know me, and to me wrestling is my life and the fans are a big part of it as well. I am sitting at my table outside reading letters by candlelight, and with my mind at ease and clear on this beautiful night like I was saying, it is easy for me to read and respond to the letters.
So there I sit a stack of letters from the fans to my left, blank paper and empty envelopes to my right, and already read mail and answered main over on the other end of the table.
I grab the next envelop on top of the stack. I rip the top open, before sliding my thumb and index finger in the opening and retrieving the letter it contain. As I unfold the neatly folded paper the name of the writer is reviled to me, it was from a usual writer, a 12 year old kid from Washington named Johnny. He’s very smart for his age and has a dream of being a wrestler. He writes to me a lot, he says I am his idol and says I am a main reason of why he wants to be a wrestler. It’s something else let me tell you to have someone look up to you like that It really makes you realize that you aren’t just fighting for yourself out there, you are doing it for countless fans and you have to be strong, not everyone can deal with that on their shoulders and they crumble, but I use the fans as my strength and I always give them my all and try hard not to let them down. With a smile in my face I read his letter.

Dear Prozac,
Hey, its me Johnny again. Thank you for your last letter, I keep it in a box that I have in my closet. I keep the box locked to so no one steal anything from it, and I keep the key in a sock under my bed, you are the only one who knows that besides me now. But anyway I am writing now to ask if everything is ok, I saw your last match against Kobra and you acted so much different then I usually see you. I was so excited to hear that you are in the King of the Ring, but you look like you don’t really care about it. Please write me back.
Your fan forever,
Johnny
The flame on the candle flickers from the breeze, but its in no danger of going out since the wind is not that strong. A sigh comes threw my thin lips as I pick up my pen, grab a blank piece of paper and begin to respond to Johnny’s letter with my own.
Dear Johnny,
Yes, I did act a little different then normal, but sometimes in peoples lives they have to act a bit more, well extreme. Think of how your parents would act towards someone who hurt you, see people act this way when others try to hurt them or their loved ones. They also act that way is others try and take away something important to them, that is why I acted the way I did. I love wrestling, its my life and lately I feel like it is being taken from me, so when I heard about this King of the Ring I knew I had to do whatever I needed to do to win it. You see Johnny I do care about the King of the Ring, in fact I care about it a lot and I will do whatever it takes to win it. But don’t worry buddy I am still the same and I look forward to more of your letters.
You good friend,
Prozac
I let the pen go and it hits the table top with a light “tap” sound. I then pick up and neatly fold my letter to Johnny, then grab an empty envelope, stick the letter in its new home and lick the seal before closing it and placing it with the other letter ready to be sent out. I now grab another blank sheet of paper, and a new unopened letter. I rip the top off same as before and read the contained letter carefully.
Dear Prozac,
You rock, I love you!
Your biggest fan,
Ted
I chuckle lightly; I always found these letters from fans amusing. The fans love to write to use wrestlers no matter if they have a question or they just feel the need to tell you they love you…just from a guy I can only hope he meant it as a friend.
Dear Ted,
Thank you I know I do and I love you too, in a completely non gay way.
Your friend,
Prozac
I let my smile grow on my face, have you ever seen me not let it grow? After placing that letter aside I snatch another and begin the reading process again.
Dear fine as hell man of my dreams,
Hey I’m Katie and I am a hugeeee fan. I am so in love with you. I’m 21 and I have my own place in Kansas if you are even near here and need a place to stay, I would love to have you stay here and make you my teddy bear. Pleaseee tell me you’re single, and write me back.
Forever yours,
Katie
P.S. I sent you I pick with this letter. I hope you like it.
Again I laugh, its always fun being hit on from random people, you just have to hop hey are over 18. I reach back into the envelope and grab the picture she spoke about. It was a full body picture of her in what I guess was her house, she was a very pretty girl and a nice picture of her too. She was fully dressed, in tight blue jeans, and a black tank top that really showed her curves off nicely, this was different from other pictures I got from girls like this, they were rather wearing damn near nothing or nothing at all, I am not complaining one bit. Expect for one time when I got a naked picture from this 8000 pound mammoth of a women, damn I thought I was blind after that image, she had 6 chins, and I swear her private area had teeth. I am still not sure it was a women, in fact I really think it was Godzilla or the Creature from the Black Lagoon. Ok I am going to stop now before I vomit, I’m already going to have to run head first into a wall tonight to get to sleep without that image keeping me up.
At this time I already have pen in hand and letting its black ink form my words on the once blank piece of paper in front of me.

Dear Katie,
I am single yes, but there is someone I have in mind, I don’t know hoe she feels, but only time will tell. So sorry if not what you wanted to hear, but I most say you are an incredibly beautiful girl and I absolutely love having you as a fan.
Your Teddy Bear,
Prozac
On to the next piece of mail, after it is open I begin to tap my pen on my forehead as I read.
Dear Prozac,
Hey man What’s up, my names Steve, just wanted to say I am a huge fan of yours. Also wanted to ask you if you feel you are going to win the King of the Ring? And if you are ever in Cali we have to go party so let me know your favorite drink and I’ll make sure it’s ready man. Alright dude peace.
Your drinking buddy,
Steve
The smile spreads like poison ivy across my face. I love my fans, I think to myself as I begin to respond to Steve’s letter.
Dear Steve,
Hey bro nice to meet you, well kind of meet you. Thanks for being a fan and to answer your first question, yes I do feel I will win King of the Ring, who’s going to stop me? Calaz? HA! He may be the Xtream champ right now, but he’s stepping in the ring wit the original champ and I will show him what it takes to be called a champion.
To answer your second question, my drinks of choice right now are Jack and Coke, Jack and Diet or Blue Moon with or without ah orange. And hell yeah man you know I love to party and I’ll tell you what, next time I’m in California we will throw the biggest fucking part you have ever seen, sound good to you?
Your not always sober friend,
Prozac
After my letter is nestled comfortably in an envelope and placed with the other out going mail I stand up, nature calls and I need a break anyway. I turn and head to my door.
