| I'm still falling from grace for you .. |
He'd beaten him once, so he could beat him again right? It was "The New Era Icon" "Mr. XVI" David Calaz, but he was Jordan "Bullet Proof" Glass. It wasn't like he was a normal human being. His doctor had advised him not to wrestle for two months after the brutal House of Fun match but he was back in action the next week, and won. Not only did he win, but it was against the XVI World Champion, Szaban.
Szaban had beaten "The MorningStar" Johnny Mental, who had beaten Calaz, who had been beaten by Jordan. This chain was long and ultimately, leaded to the winner of the match at Side Effect being the one who was unpinable, unsubmitable and unable to be beaten, Jordan "Bullet Proof" Glass ..
.. right?
---
He sat there, in the driver's seat of his royal purple 2001 Eclipse, which had custom chrome rims and a carbon fibre hood. He was sitting in front of a big white house with blue shutters and a blue door. It had a rose garden surrounding the outside walls and giant trees in the yard.
His hands were gripping the steering wheel very tight, as if he were nervous. His eyes were locking onto some invisible object outside the windshield. He didn't blink, like he was concentrating on something or thinking about something. He seemed scared, frightened.
Jordan ~ Change is scary. It is a very frightening prospect. It's something nobody is fond of and something everybody is nervous about. It's something that I, personally, am scared shit-less of. It's not something I'm looking forward to.
He starts to rub his hands back and forth on the wheel as he thinks. He turns his head and looks into the lens of the camera.
Jordan ~ After the years I put into working things out and working around things with Seraphina, I can't see us going any further than what we have. It's done with us, at least that's the way it seems as of now.
So .. now, things have to change. I can't mope, I can't be depressed. I mean, I want to be, but I can't let myself be. I need to be able to get up and walk away from this wiser than I was before. That's going to be hard though.
His glassy eyes reflected the orange streetlights. His gray irises sparkled, as per usual. His face was tense and stern, not happy or content.
Jordan ~ This is something that I knew was coming. I knew in the way she talked to me, the way she looked at me. It all 'changed' near the end. That's why I'm scared of change ..
Now, Jordan's mouth shows a smile, but not exactly. It's more of a smirk. He chuckles a little.
Jordan ~ One thing that won't change though, is my streak. I have NOT been pinned and I have NOT been made to submit, and Davey, you won't be the first. If I lose to anyone, it'll be myself. The only one who can surpass me .. is me. I out do myself every time I step in the squared-circle, and I will continue to do so until I draw my last breath.
Jordan then looks down slightly and laughs a little. He smiles.
Jordan ~ And damn it boy, you are a kid. You're a wannabe little kid who thinks he can play with the big boys. Well, let me tell you something, mister XVI. This big boy ain't gonna go easy on you because some punk kid thinks he's up to my standard. Fuck, you wouldn't be able to pin me in my sleep.
Jordan laughs again. Suddenly, his phone rings. He reaches down into the cup holder and picks up his Motorola Razr and looks at the screen. He clears his throat, then flips the phone open, lifting it to his ear.
Jordan ~ Hello? - - - No, I'm not on my way, I'm here. - - - Yeah, I'm right outside your house. - - - Okay, take your time. - - - Alright, see you.
Jordan flips the phone closed, then lays it back in the cup holder. He looks back to the lens.
Jordan ~ Change .. it's a scary thing. Everything changes eventually. For now, my girl is changing. Seraphina is out, and in comes Jaena. She's something new .. right now, she doesn't compare to the girl Seraphina WAS, but as I move on .. she'll become what I need. She's nice, and she's beautiful. She's everything I need right now.
Suddenly, the door opens in the house. Out walks a slender brunette with hair that goes half way down her back. She was wearing a black halter dress that was made of leather. It was very tight, accentuating her luscious, voluptuous curves. It glistened in the orange light illuminating from the streetlights.
Her dress went down to abut half way down her thighs. Her legs were long and very attractive. She was a very beautiful woman, and she seemed even more amazingly beautiful as she strutted down the walkway toward the car. She smiled sweetly, waving at Jordan. He smiled at her, waving back.
As she opened the door, placing her three inch heeled shoes into the car and swinging herself in, she spoke.
Jaena ~ Hey Jordy. I like your suit, it makes you look handsome.
Jordan smiles shyly.
Jordan ~ Thanks.
Jaena smiles, leaning over, kissing Jordan lightly on the lips. She didn't move away, but opened her eyes, looking into Jordan's.
Jaena ~ I like you a lot. You know that, right?
Jordan smiles, kissing her back lightly on her soft pink lips.
Jordan ~ I know .. I like you a lot too.
They both smile. Jaena sat back into the passenger seat and Jordan took one of his hands off the wheel, relaxing a little, and placed the hand on the gear shift. Jaena puts her hand onto Jordan's, holding it tightly.
They smile at each other, then Jordan turns back to the camera.
Jordan ~ Like I said, she's nice and she's beautiful. Change can be good, and change can be bad. David Calaz .. there will be no change come Side Effect. I will defeat you, as I have defeated all the others. You will fall down and I will get the three count.
Remember boy, razorblades slit, knives cut .. but glass scars. I will scar you, kid. I'll scar you for life.
With that, Jordan flips the gear shift into first and kicks the acceleration peddle. The car speeds away as Jordan then flips it into second. It rounds the turn, tires screeching. You hear a scream as the screen fades to white noise.
---
A boy becomes a man when he defeats the man which is standing in his way. For Jordan Glass, this was the first man he ever faced. For Calaz, this hasn't happened yet for everyone he's faced, he's lost to or in the case of the ones he's beaten, they hadn't became men yet. They hadn't come to the caliber of which Jordan was at now.
For Calaz to become a man, he'd have to take down Jordan. Calaz was a kid, and he still would be come Side Effect.
| .. but I don't have to show it, because you certainly don't. |
