Avery professional looking woman is sitting in a white sofa. She is dressed in a black, knee-length skirt with white pinstripes, a matching jacket and a white bluse underneath. Her blonde hair is pulled back in a ponytail with her bangs hanging just above her eyebrows. She is holding a tape recorder in her hand.
Across from her, Rachel is seated in a matching white armchair. She is dressed in denim skirt with a frayed edge, a blue, patchwork halter top with a v-neck cut, and a pair of blue flip flops. Her XVI Xtreme Championship belt is perched on her shoulder. Her dark, brown hair is down in soft waves, the edges slightly curling.
Woman: Alright, Rachel. I am Julia Longboard with XVI Magazine. I'd like to get an interview with you so we can print it in the next issue of our magazine. Are you ready?
Rachel nods and sits up a little straighter.
Julia: First of all, congratulations on your win.
Rachel: Thank you.
Julia: Going into the match, you seemed extremely confident despite the adversity that you had to face...How did you get your confidence up?
Rachel: I've had great success in the past going into the ring. I
knew that no man could stop me, no matter how big, strong or fast. I knew that no weapon, no pain, no threats could stop me. I felt it deep down...I'm on top of my game. I was on top when I went in and I am still on top of it. And until I become unbalanced, I am going to continue to conquer everything that is given to me.
Julia: How does it feel to be undefeated and is it a streak you plan to hang on to?
Rachel: I think I just said it, Julia. I'm on top of my game. I'm in control. I am not going anywhere. Not only am I undefeated...I'm the Xtreme Champion!
Julia: You are the first female XVI Xtreme champ. What does that mean to you?
Rachel: It doesn't mean a damn thing to me. I'm a woman. So what? So is Hillary Clinton. Guess what, she's in the running to be president in 2008. Condeliza Rice is the Secretary of State. Guess what, she's not only a woman - she's a black woman! It doesn't matter if you're woman, man or hermaphrodite! You can do anything and everything. I'm not going to be known as the first woman crowned Xtreme champion. I'm going to go down in history as a Hall of Famer because I defend my title and I outshine the competition. Because I am the complete definition of extreme.
Julia looks a little taken aback at Rachel's defensiveness.
Julia: Okay then...What are your thoughts on your upcoming match with Thor, Corporal Punishment, and Pheonix?
Rachel smiles to herself, reaches down to the side of the chair, and brings a bottle of water to her lap. She unscrews the cap and takes a sip.
Rachel: I think that it is rather amusing, Julia. Makaveli is doing what? Is he doing me a favor? It seems like he's just trying to make me look good. I mean, I've bested two out of three. I'm going to look like a million bucks when I do it again. Pheonix is a newcomer. Pheonix has yet to prove himself. I'm not nessacarily counting him out, but I'm saying that he's the Dark Horse in this match. I find it amusing that Corp says the more you fight someone, the more you get to know their style...Well guess what, Corp. I'm not washed up and boring like you. I don't go into a ring and go through the same old routine. Its not a marching drill out there, buddy. Its not a rifle team. You don't go out there to give the fans and you opponent the same show everytime. That's what is going to put me up and over him. I'm going to bring a little variety to the ring each and everytime. I'm not going to be predictable. When I get into that ring, my opponent is always going to be asking themself: "What's she gonna do next?"
Julia: And what is next for Rachel in the XVI?
Rachel: Only time will tell, Julia. I could be on my way to XVI Champion...Or I could be on my way to the tag division...Whatever is thrown at me is what I'll be battling or embracing.
Julia: Our final topic...Szaban.
Rachel looks suspicious of Julia's coming question.
Rachel: What about him?
Julia: How do you feel about him?
Rachel: Szaban is an amazing athlete. He has my respect, he has my vote, but I will still climb in the ring with him any day and put his face in the mat. If Szaban is champion when its my time to rise, then Szaban is who I'm going to defeat...Plain and simple.
Julia: But you don't...Ya know...Have any other thoughts or feelings about Szaban?
Rachel looks consideringly at her water bottle for a moment. The she rises to her feet.
Rachel: Listen, Julia, I'm willing to talk about my career, but that's it. Don't talk about my personal life. That includes my daughter, my ex, any current love interests...Not even my cat, unless I give you permission. Thanks for the interview.
Rachel turns and exits the studio, leaving Julia upset about not getting her scoop.
