| The cold is overwhelming .. |
It is so cold out here tonight.
I'm all alone out here under this light.
The moon shines upon the lake, making it seem colder.
My hands shake, shivering down to my toes.
When a warm wind will blow, nobody knows.
The cold preserves me, I'm not getting older.
Everything so calm, all my stress is gone.
My face hits the water, it feels like a bomb.
My skin pulls tight against the water, stopping the thoughts.
My eyes freeze shut on impact, my life is in God's hands.
He shows me the warmth, teasing me with the sands.
It's all gone now, all the pain the cold brought.
The cold was you.
Now you're gone.
I've got my eye on her.
You can't stop me.
Too bad for you ..
You weren't my end.
Surprised?
Don't be.
---
Your television screen shows the inside of a locker-room. Before you have the chance to wonder whose it is, you see him, sitting on a bench leaning against the wall. He looks like a new man, aside from the stitches on his forehead and bandages around his chest, going to his back.
His eyes aren't bloodshot anymore. His lips are moist again. His face has it's normal tone and hue. He seems like .. Jordan again. There's no other way to put it. That's just the way it is. He smiles as he gazes off into the unknown. What he's thinking about, we can only wonder.
Something else you notice new about Jordan, all of his hair is cut off. Now it is simply a short haircut, but not too short. It comes down just over his ears and around the back of his neck. It hangs down in front of his eyes a little as well. He is a new man.
He isn't wearing a shirt, revealing his well-built upper body. He has an eight-pack and pecks, and his biceps and triceps are a good eighteen to twenty inches around. He is a very in-shape man.
On his legs are a pair of dark blue baggy jeans. On his feet are a pair of black Reeboks with white bottoms. Around his neck hangs his sterling-silver necklace and on his right ring-finger is his silver ring with a purple gemstone as the center piece.
His gaze switches from the ceiling to the camera, still smiling. His pearly white teeth shine like diamonds in his mouth and his dark-gray eyes sparkle like two gemstones set in a golden ring.
Jordan ~ You all might wonder, why am I smiling? I had a brutal match at Aftermath, which I lost, and I lost my title hence. But see .. I didn't lose, so technically, I still have a perfect record. I wasn't pinned. It wasn't my fault I lost my belt.
Another reason I'm smiling is because I FINALLY got 'you know who' out of my head. I'm done with her for good, FINALLY.
Jordan gets to his feet, slowly and gracefully pacing across the room to a table. On top of the table is a large thermos like object that is blue and has a white cover on top.
Jordan walks behind the table, just behind the giant thermos. He looks into the camera, still smiling.
Jordan ~ I've told all of you that I am bullet proof, haven't I?
The camera moves up and down, signifying a nod.
Jordan ~ Right. What I haven't mentioned, is I'm PHYSICS PROOF!
Jordan gasps.
Jordan ~ Yep, that's right. You heard me right, I said physics proof. I suppose now you're wondering how this is possible, correct?
The camera nods again, showing that Jordan is indeed, correct.
Jordan ~ Okay, I'll demonstrate.
Jordan removes the cover off the thermos in front of him and a form of steam begins to form, but instead of floating up, the steam falls downward. You wonder, "How is this possible? All steam rises."
Jordan ~ This wondrous substance is, LIQUID NITROGEN!
Jordan claps vigorously, smiling.
Jordan ~ This stuff is AWESOME. I love it.
Jordan's smile grows bigger.
Jordan ~ You see, nitrogen is a gas, and is a gas until minus two hundred degrees Celsius. Which is when it becomes a liquid, like you see here. The reason the steam falls and not rises is because steam is water evaporating, but this is the moisture in the air being frozen and then falling under it's own weight.
First, I will do a couple of demonstrations of how cold this is.
Jordan grabs a balloon from where it was lain on the table. He blows it up to a fair size, then ties it over.
Jordan ~ Watch closely.
Jordan slowly begins to lower the balloon into the thermos. You can hear a crackling noise and then you notice .. the balloon is shrinking! Jordan smiles again.
Jordan ~ This is caused because, as you all know, when something gets cold, it contracts. Well .. when the air inside the balloon colds down to minus two hundred degrees, it shrinks, causing the balloon to shrink. Now, watch what happens when I remove it from the container.
He slowly lifts the balloon out of the liquid nitrogen, and it begins to expand again.
Jordan ~ Keep watching ..
Suddenly, it explodes. Jordan laughs as the shredded remains of the balloon fall to the table.
Jordan ~ Isn't that awesome?!
Anyways, now for my second and final demonstration before I get to my point.
For this demonstration I'm going to use a racquetball. Watch what happens when I put it into the liquid nitrogen, then take it out and drop it. First though, watch how bouncy this is!
Jordan grabs the blue racquetball and throws it at the ground. It bounces back up to his shoulder and then he catches it. He then smiles and, using tongs, inserts the ball into the thermos.
He waits thirty seconds, then takes it out. Steam is billowing off the surface of the ball, and once again, the steam falls.
Jordan ~ This part is the fun part. Watch ..
Jordan opens the tongs, letting the ball drop to the floor. Instead of bouncing like it had done moments ago, it now shatters into pieces, scattering all over the floor. Jordan bursts into laughter.
Jordan ~ WOO! That was sweeeeeeet.
Jordan lays down the tongs, staring back into the camera.
Jordan ~ Remember when I said I was physics proof? Well you've seen what this stuff can do. Now .. watch this.
Jordan takes a deep breath, switching his gaze down into the thermos. He raises up his hand, then inserts it into the thermos. He winces, obviously feeling some pain, but not enough for him to remove his hand.
For a minute he keeps his hand inside the thermos. He then opens his eyes, squinting into the camera.
Jordan ~ You'd think my hand would be able to break off now, wouldn't you? Well .. if I was a normal man, it would. But see .. I'm no normal man.
Jordan then pulls his hand out of the thermos quickly. The liquid flies into the air, and when it hits the ground it break up into tiny droplets, running around like crazy, then disappearing.
His hand is completely unharmed. He moves his fingers and his wrist easily. His skin is a little red, but besides that, his hand and fore-arm are perfect.
Jordan ~ You see, I don't talk bull. I represent when I say something. I don't say something then back down. Which is exactly why I'm saying that this week on Side Effect, Szaban is going down. I don't care if he's the XVI World Champ, Universal Champ or Abraham Lincoln. I'm going to whoop his ass this Sunday on Side Effect.
Watch out Z. Don't let your guard down 'cause once the Shards of Glass hit .. it's all over, bitch.
| .. except for the abnormal. |
OOC : I know, I know. Nobody needs a physics lesson. I just love liquid nitrogen and I thought it'd make for a cool rp. ;D
