Naming Your Character

Just something brought up in conversation, turnd into a random musing, how do people come up with their character names? For me;

UnderDose came from a song by InMe - 'cos people couldn't get enough of me

Mental came from the name of my old band (Johnny Mental), The MorningStar came from a love of medieval weaponry

Wreckage (my little unknown Lucha Libre) came from an old finisher I came up with called the Car Wreck; name stemmed from there.

"Northwind" Jaime Stark... "Jaime" and "Stark" came from a book I was reading by George R. R. Martin, a part taken from 2 different families. Northwind? Fuck knows. Probably ripped from Final Fantasy, heh...

so where'd everyone else get 'em from?

Jihad ~ From the Shotgun Messiah song "Jihad". One of my very favorite songs. And Jihad's theme song.

Sullivan ~ I wanted Jihad with an "evil" last name. So, I pick Sullivan after an old wrestler named Kevin Sullivan. Not everyone knows that I also play Jihad as if he is Kevin's son.

The Devil ~ Just something the guy who used to play Fade started calling me. Just like "Devil-J" "J" Etc...

The Ruler Of ALL ~ Just something I came up with when I started the whole VNB cult thing.

The VNB ~ Another one of my favorite songs by Shotgun Messiah called "The Violent New Breed". Also, The VNB's theme song.

Michael ~ From "The Freebirds" Michael Hayes. My best friend came up with that.

Fade ~ Again, My best friend came up with the name. He got the name from his favorite band *King's-X* song "Fade Away".

Gordy ~ From "The Freebirds" Terry Gordy. My best friend came up with that. Fade, Is also played as the late Terry Gordy's son.

The Demolition Man ~ When my best friend was playing Fade, He had his entrance music as "Fade Away" by "Kings-X". Well, I fucking HATE Kings-X. Well, I changed his theme song to "The Demolition Man" by "Def-Leppard" and started calling him The Demolition Man.

Where did i come up with my fuckin name....thats like asking me why are we here? or what the meaning of life is...well answer to question numero uno is *drum roll*

I thought about realistically what the one guy you don't wanna meet in a dark alley with a wallet full of cash...answer a criminal...from criminal i got to Convict...the name just stuck.

As for the Beast part...its actually kinda weird...see originally in my old fed i used the beast before Convict...but stopped when the fed shut the doors. The Fed reopened a few years later i came back but as just Convict...then one day this Whore named Poison shows up...she calls me the Beast again...and i ran with it...since then i have been using it.

Now the meaning of life...Crush Your enemies, see them driven before you, and the lamination of there women.

Were here cause were all just food for the worms waiting are time...

[Jordan "Bullet Proof" Glass]

Wow .. damn, this'll be hard.

Jordan (used most of the time) - Simply because it's my first name, and I always liked it ;D

Losrerie - Sounds french, and I was interested by french at the time, seeing as I had just entered Late French Immersion.

The Fallen Angel - Always liked the sound of that. Halo also uses it, but didn't know that at the time.

Ange Anglos - My friend told me it meant The Fallen Angel is some other language. I don't think it does, but I liked it, so I used it as a name.

Michael Demonicc - This was my character, that Greg will probably remember, played in with the VNB. He was supposedly Jihad's dark son that was created by the forces of darkness to bring forth Jihad's evil will, and had come to the surface world from hell just to find his father, and somehow became involved with .. pro wrestling ? Anyways, like the nam Michael, and Demonicc .. well .. thats kind of obvious.

Glass - Uhm, wanted to use the finisher name "Shards of Glass" so I made his last name glass

Anything else, I can't remember. Maybe someone here might remember something else I used, besides Turtle/Tuttle, since thats my last name anyways so.

Meh most of you don't know my character's, other than Loki.

Loki- Chan laid claim to the name months before we started effeding. My obsession with history and mythology means I use a lot of gods for names so I'd also played Loki for a while on a fantasy rp site, only as the Norse god rather than a angel of death (I wish I could remember the site>_<). My original intention was to keep playing the Norse god in the efed, but its easier to play women so I made Loki female, dropped the trickster part and based her personality on the parts of me I hate.

Poison - The only fed I actually played her in was EWW and chan named her.

As you don't know my other fed characters.

Rixende- Named after a woman tortured and killed in France in the middle ages. She was suspected putting a curse upon the children of the village as revenge because her own child died. Isn't history fun? I liked the name so I've used it ever since I found out it existed

[The One]

Okay now these are going to be some of the most creative and in-depth reasons for naming a character ever.


Szaban~ My last name is Szaban, and it is the name I have always gone by. It was just crazy enough to work so I went with it and it caught on. The character's personallity is also completely mine. With Szaban there really is not too much imagination other than him being a wrestler, everything he does and says are the actions that I myself do and would do in these situations. Emotion is the biggest thing that I thrive on when RPing as Szaban the wrestler because that is when my ego is in charge which brings me to my nicknames.

Chia~ Started by I believe Fade, then Jihad, then everyone else who tried to insult the fro-wonder. All do to the fact that two years ago I had a wonderful, beautiful head of hair.

Champion of Champions~ Now going against popular belief I did not start this nickname for myself. Once upon a time when I was suspended from EWW and before WcXf I was involved in a multi-fed efed. Three feds in all and all three had their respective champions. Well at a pay-per-view they had a triple threat match ladder match set-up which would name a Champion of the "mega-fed." Being the new guy and not one of the champions I was not originally in this match but I RPd against all of them and requested to have the match changed to a Fatal Four Way, three Champions and a hopeful. Well To make a long story short I won, beating the three Champions and became Champion over them all, thus becoming the 'Champion of Champions'

The One~ I see Szaban as a never say die wrestler. A man who will go through it all and leave everything he has in the mat to show that no matter the challenge he can rise to the occasion. When I gave him the name 'The One' I did it because he is The One that is always there to help someone, and is The One to entertain people. Szaban is just The One.

Black Jack

Damn alright, so how did I come up with the name Black Jack? To tell you the truth I'd have to think back to freshman year, I think I was sitting in the library at the time where I used to roleplay during lunch. Anyways, I was thinking of making a big character someone strong and since I like Scott Steiner he was me original pic base for this name. Anyways, short story my friends were playing cards and someone said, "Black Jack" and the name stuck to me.

Ashley Dickinson

Okay, this guy is kind of heavy. I braught him into XWWA undercover after I retired Black Jack because I had burnt him out. Now I wanted to try a new way of roleplaying, in a kind of book first person form. I made him an alcoholic as I too was suffering that state at the time and because, my now x- girl friend had fucked my brains up then, I made him torture women. Yeah I know sick but it worked because on camera he was composed. And the name well....Ashley came to me from a friend I had back then and Dickinson just came from my friend Jerome, never told me why.

David Calaz...Thats my name so it wasnt hard tothink that one up...but "The New Era Icon" now that is a touch of genious only someone like me could think up at 12:30 am whilst talking to Mak, Mental and Prozac nd asking them which nickname they thought was best, in the end i chose "The New Era Icon"

1.Dark HalO 'The Queen of Kaos.' - Fallen Angel.. Signing up to EWW, i just thougt of a name on the spot. And i came up with black halo.. that sounded shitty, so i got Dark HalO.. The Queen of Kaos originates from Corpsey... and "Your Sweetest Nightmares" Was a stroke of genius.

2.'One Taste' Poison - One taste of poison is all it takes. Infectious, Vile and fucking spiteful.. All the things poison is.

3.Whisper 'Once' - The Child. Innocent but sinister... Like a whisper. It could be anything, but only i know what it is. sorta thing. The Once thing is because it's a past version, or usually used as a conscience of any of my characters.

4.Whisper - Same as above.

5.Straight Jacket - Insane french woman... who ive now turned mexican i think.

6.Toxic - running along the poison theme.

7.Acid - same as above.

8.Embitter (Female Version) - Being a theasaurus whore, i looked up a word for anger... I found Embitterment.. Its the word that describes all the hateful feelings within someone..

9.Bytch - Her character was a submissive dog.. Maddog still uses her today.

10.Killer - Submissive dog character also.. Bytch and Killer would come out on leashes with maddog.. started off to piss off Al Powers. Still also used by maddog.

11.'Sweet Dreams' Cyinide - When injecting a Poison, one is said to go into a peacful sleep... Hense the sweet dreams.. Cyinide going along with the poison theme.

12.Slick 'Slick Livin' - Slick was spur of the moment. She was a gangster kinda character... very veeery whorish, however not my most whorish creation. The slick living came from an idea, when i saw April hunter (who is slicks picture base) dressed slutty but wearing a royal blue corset and a top hat.

13.Caged Heat - From some indie fed.

14.Erebus - Erebus means darkness.. I think it's greek mythology, but im not quite sure.

15.Numb - Senses (which was another one of my obsessions, much like poison.) Used in OPW. Idea was she was sexy enough to make your body go numb.

16.Fever - See above. Sexy enough to give you a fever.

17.Carter - Orignally Toxic. However, i changed the name when a boss of a fed said Toxic wasn't a real enough name... I always liked the name Carter, so it stuck.

18.Jersey - I also have always loved this name.

19.DyMond DeVine 'The One and Only' - Arguably, my turning point. Precious, yet completely tantalyzing. The One and Only is because she is truley my one of a kind character; and was often refered to as it.

20.Embitter (M) -The male version of embitter......didnt last long.

21.Lolli Pop Porn Bitch - aha!... My old msn name, and truley one of the nicknames i am popular for. Stolen from a crazytown song.

22.Engel - German for Angel. Inspired by the ramstein song.

23. Engel 'XTC' Stephens. - Business type woman. Brought in as a lawyer i think.. not too sure. German Angel, XTC for the sexiness and stephens, i have no idea.

24.SadYst - When halo got left out cause corpsey left, i thought id make a run for a character called "SadYst".. Stolen from a freaky looking woman.

25.Morrigan Keres - Umm.. Morrigan is the ... welsh term i think? for raven.. It was the name of a goddess who would hover over battle fields as a raven and predict the outcome of the battles. Keres is mythology.. three woman who would plan and plot evil doings.

26. April - April Hunter.

27.Dymond - Dymond devines first name, reused in a small time fed. one of those times where i only join as a favor and never roleplay.

28. Caprice. - a Favor. The picture base was of Caprice Bourret.

29. Janessa. - X-ecutioner suggested this name.. from queen of the damned i think.

30. Kaos. - Inspired by "Kaos Royalty"

37: Caprice 'The Secret' Bastante - Caprice was the picture base's name, The secret was because she was sleeping with some dude and his wife didnt know.. also used the tagline from candy man "the whisper in the classroom the writing on the walls"... Bastante is enough is spanish.

38: Desired Shadow. - Ever see a silouette or a shadow and thought "...wooooww".... thats why.

39. Brody - Brody Armstrong.. didnt like her, but i loved that name.

40. 'XTC' Engel - Lustful angel.

41. Erin - Ummm..... I liked the name?

42: Dante - I saw X-ecutioner use it and i loved it.

43: SeVen - One of my greastest characters. Promoted and stood for every single last one of the seven deadly sins

44: Unhallowed - Stole from corpsey/John-o.

45: Roamy Malone - Roamy is from roamy and michelles high school reunion..lmao.. and Malone is from bugsy malone i guess... i dunno.

46: "The Diobolical" Dante Divine - You see the mixture here? The diobolical is just there for alliteration.

47: "That voice inside your head" Charisma Dreamz - Umm.. i think the name generated from the actually angle of the character which i never got a chance to explore. Charisma would just be an awesome first name...

48: Daz(zle) Dreamz - Charisma's sister... I like giving girls mens names ...

49: Lust. - Complete and fucking utter SLUT.

50: Shade Maharet - Shade is an awesome name.. Johnny gave me the last name.

1. Poisons real name is Billy Trenton Chase - Billy is Corpses real name... Trenton Chase i stole from some serial killer who used to cut up people and animals, put their bodies in a blender and drink their remains.

2.Straight Jackets real name is Hadden Clarke - Also a serial killer. Rapist also.

I’ve only been e-fedding since October 2005, but I have like, 14 characters already… lol. Anyways, I’ll just tell you Damien’s.

Easy enough to understand his first name, as we all know Damien is the name of the devil’s son himself… so, that’s that out of the way. Gein however is different. I named him after a serial killer in Wisconsin, he was known for necrophilia and he’d also make souvenirs out of his victims, using their toes, nipples, tongue… teeth etc as jewellery and furnishings for his house. Lovely I know. ;D

So, chea. I can't be arsed giving you reasons and such for the other God knows how many. I'm catching up, Chandon.

"Dreaming" Jack Rhodes - Used in WMW, this was became after I thought of "Dreamz" from Survivor, lol. Then thought it would make a good gimmick, and it did.

"Chris Cross" - Got no f'in clue. Just came to me, lol. Also his finisher was the "CROSS"Face so that kind of made me thinking.


"Jake Xavier" - Xavier is a tribute to X-Men, and Jake is just a random name I made up last night when watching Leno trying to sleep, haha.
