Friday morning, 7:00 A.M.
Prozac got up out of bed just like every morning. Got out of bed in only his white boxes with little yellow smily faces on them. He then entered his bathroom and brushed his teeth followed by his morning breakfast; three egg whites, toast, a couple slices of bacon and a glass of orange juice. After clearing his plate he headed back upstairs grabbing his already packed duffel bag and then throwing on a pair of gray sweats and a black T-shirt. After getting ready he headed out of his apartment in Cornwall, NY. He got in his car, a 1986 dark blue Toyota Supra. It was kind of beat up but hw was planning on fixing it up once he had enough money. He started his car and waited a few minutes before setting out for a 20 minute drive to a gym in the next town over. He does this 5 days a week and the other 2 days are to relax his body and mind. Today at the gym was his day to work on his lower body.
After a long workout Ben grabbed his towel from the rack near the doors and headed back to the locker room to shower and change before meeting up with his good friend Bert who wrestling fans know better as Ritalin. He was meeting up with Ritalin like he does all the time and they would decide what to do the rest of the day when they meet up. Prozac dried off with a fresh towel and proceeded to head out the door after changing into his dark blur T-shirt, blues jeans, and black shoes.
Friday Morning, 11:35 A.M.
Prozac just pulls into his apartment complex driveway. He parks the car and instead of going in his apartment he walks upstairs. Both Ritalin and himself live in the same apartment complex, Prozac lives in apartment 1 on the ground floor and Ritalin lives in apartment 6 on the third floor of a three floor building. When he gets to Ritalin door he knocks one it 3 times and waits. After about 30 seconds Ritalin answers the door.
Ritalin:
Yo what up?
Prozac:
Nothing much. Where the hell were you were suppose to be at the gym?
Ritalin:
I slept late. I was gonna ask you for a ride there when you go meet that intervier dude.
Prozac:
Ok I can do that. You going to give me gas money.
Ritalin:
If I say yes will you believe me?
Prozac:
No.
Ritalin:
Then….um.
Prozac:
I will just say you owe me.
Ritalin:
Fair enough.
Prozac:
When will you be ready?
Ritalin:
In a few.
Prozac:
Just knock on my door when you’re ready.
Ritalin:
Ok.
After Ritalin closes his door Prozac heads down stairs to his place. After getting in and putting his bag away he sits and watches some T.V. Not long after Ritalin walks in to his apartment.
Prozac:
Don’t you knock anymore?
Ritalin looks at Prozac with a dirty look.
Ritalin:
You’re funny.
Prozac:
I try. You ready?
Ritalin:
Yup let’s go.
Prozac and Ritalin get into Prozac’s car and Prozac drops Ritalin off at the gym.
Ritalin:
You gonna pick me up later.
Prozac:
Most likely not.
Ritalin:
Yea ok see ya later.
Prozac:
Peace.
Prozac then drives to meet an interviewer. He they made plans to meet at a dinner not far From where Prozac lives. He knew the inter viewer would ask questions like How do you think you can handle wrestling in two companies and what are his thoughts on his upcoming match but instead of thinking how he is going to answer the questions he is deciding what to order when he gets to the diner. It has always been a toss up between wrestling and food and which one he loves more.
Friday afternoon 12:56 P.M.
After a short drive Prozac parks his car in the parking lot of the diner. He starts heading towards the entrance door and a man meets him out front.
Interviewer:
Ah Mr. Smith, we talked on the phone.
Prozac:
Yes hi.
They extends there arms and shakes each other hands. They then go in the diner and a waitress seats them.
Waitress:
And what can I get you today?
Prozac:
I’ll take a prime rib and a Pepsi to drink.
Interviewer:
I’ll have a Ruben
Waitress:
And to drink?
Interviewer:
Orange soda please.
Waitress:
Coming right up.
The waitress walks away leaving the two men to chat. The interviewer pulls out a notepad and a pen.
Interviewer:
Ok lets get this started then. First question, I wanted to ask about The Meds I wanted to know if you guys will try and make an impact as a team now that you’re both in XVI.
Prozac:
Of cause Bert and I are always a team. We are The Meds and what ever we do in wrestling we do it together. It’s a new company but as soon as it gets a tag division The Meds will dominate it.
Interviewer:
(laughs) A little cocky.
Prozac:
I’m not conceded I am convinced.
Interviewer:
Fair enough. Ok now how do you think you will hold up being in muti-feds?
Prozac:
I think I will do fine. I’m young, I am in my prime. I feel I can handle it and a lot more. But time will tell if I am right.
Interviewer:
Your first match in XVI is a 6 man battle royal. As far as I know you have never been in a singles battle royal. So what are your thought going into a match like this for the first time.
Prozac:
Well yea it’s the first time I am entering a battle royal by myself. I have a little experience in it in a tag team battle royal so I am hoping that comes in handy but other then that I adapt fast I believe I will do fine. You can stack me up against all odds and you will see I stack up perfectly against them all.
Interviewer:
How do you feel that you’re for match is for a title?
Prozac:
Good question…I was thinking about that. See normally I like to earn my shots. But since this is a new company I am not surprised title shot is coming to me already. I think of it like this. If I win I will be setting a bar for future stars that will one day win this title. It’s not like normally I have to live up to the titles rep but this time I will have to place it on the map which I plan on doing in a big way.
Interviewer:
Ok very good…and final question. What do you hope to accomplish in XVI?
Prozac:
Same thing I have always said I wanted to do in my wrestling career. I want to set goals, break records, do things no one else has ever done, and I just want to be remembered as a wrestle, a true good wrestle.
Interviewer:
Well Prozac I for one am rooting for you. I wish all the luck and I thank you for meeting me here.
Prozac:
It’s no problem I am always happy to give an interview. Now I see the waitress coming with our food. So let's eat.
The waitress comes back with the trays of food. The scene fades withy the two men eating.
Friday afternoon 3:10 P.M.
Scene opens up again and Prozac is sitting on his couch in his apartment watching T.V. Suddenly his cell rings and he picks it up to answer it.
Prozac:
Hello?
Ritalin:
Hey man you gonna pick me up?
Prozac:
I told you before I doubt it.
Ritalin:
I thought you were kidding.
Prozac:
Well thinking was never your strong point.
Ritalin:
Oh come on dude pick me up.
Prozac:
Should of gave me gas money. Enjoy the walk home.
Ritalin:
You suck you kno….
Prozac hangs up the phone while Ritalin was still talking. And the scene fades on Prozac sitting there laughing.
