From what I see.. we do not control our characters action in a ring. Which takes away the fun of the RP itself. It also takes away any open based rp seeing as you cannot chose the actions your wrestler performs but bleah that's not the reason i made this. I need clarification on how the hell to post in the side effects thingy and all that. I heard that you have to have a giganto post.. honestly I post what's needed... I'm not going to post pointless filler crap to dictate the action of my character reaching for a glass of water.. ain't gonna happen... so i'll be posting as much as needed and that's that. But ya someone tell me how the heck your supposed to post in those roleplay boards.

If Mak doesn't mind me taking this one? I think you're referring to Strat's on this one.
If yuo want to be in the ring from a promo you're writing as a roleplay, go nuts. you can do whatever is needed, as much or as little as you want; hell, it's your roleplay.
If you want something to appear on the card (a segment, a speech, etc.) then write it up, send it to the staff, and they'll do with it.
On a personal note;
Speaking on behalf of the roleplaying community who writes all this "Pointless Filler Crap", we don't do it to take up space, we do it because, when you watch a vignette, people actually DO these things. If someone's been hitting a car witha sledge hammer, odds are they'll perspire, so common sense dictates a human reaction of wiping your brow. We're not wasting space or time, we're being observant and trying to nail the atmosphere as well as the message.

No no i wasn't speaking of that stuff.. i'm talking about just making up random filler stuff to make their post longer that has no real point to it is what i'm saying.

As far as I see, it's all integral. Lets go with your "Taking a drink of water" example.
In a vignette I did, I had Mental drinking absinthe, the proper way with a teaspoon full of melted sugar, and a branded cigar. Why? Because it gives an insight into what sort of person Mental is. Even down to the motion itself, whether its flourishing, economical, slow and measured or lightning fast, it gives the reader an insight to the character.
As to writing random quotes, speeches or whatnot; as long as it's relevant it works; it's what we call a mood setter.
Finally, as to random things that crop up; almost being hit by a car, aeroplanes flying overhead, herds of wilderbeast sweeping majestically across the land... it's all impactful to both the character AND the mood. If used correctly, it can had a whole new depth to your roleplay. There's no such thing as a wasted word...
